Scaling up for 2020 – Fundraising begins
In 2016, we have decided to launch our biggest fundraising project ever, to pay for a significant new extension to our facilities in Surrey and invest into a brand new conservation area which will be fully operational by 2020.
In order to achieve this, we need to raise £500,000 by the end of 2018. That’s more than £15000 per month and equivalent to more than doubling our income over the next three years.
How will we raise money?
We will be raising funds from visitor-orientated events as well as corporate sponsorship and commercial fundraising activities. Additional funds will be sought from grant-making organisations, and donations will be amplified by government programmes such as Gift Aid.
What will the money be spent on?
The money will be spent on a combination of facilities for conservation, animal protection, education and outreach, as well as improving the working space we use when treating and caring for rescued animals.
We will continue to support the education sector in teaching people about appropriate care of animals, support conservation projects by developing breeding programmes for release of animals back to nature overseas, and support the research and development of older students wishing to work with animals.
